A Charleston tradition honoring those who serve.
The Military Salute Regatta is a Charleston event created to honor active-duty service members, veterans, and the families and community that stand behind them. Founded by the Charleston Ocean Racing Association, the regatta pairs military participants with local skippers for a day of racing on Charleston Harbor and brings everyone together afterward for celebration, fellowship, and support of two veteran-focused nonprofits.
Through the excitement of sailing, the regatta creates a meaningful way to thank those who have served while also raising funds and awareness for Veterans on Deck and Friends of Fisher House Charleston. It is competitive, welcoming, distinctly Charleston, and built around camaraderie on and off the water.
