The Fisher House Rocking Chairs Now Carry the Emblems of Every Service Branch

The rocking chairs on the Fisher House patio got a refresh this fall — each one now carries a service branch emblem representing the branches of the men and women whose families we serve. It’s a small detail, but it’s the kind that speaks quietly to every family who sits down in one of those chairs.

The Fisher House serves veteran families from across all branches of service, and these chairs — black, white, and red, set out on the porch of a place that tries its best to feel like home — are a small way of saying: whoever you are, whatever uniform your family wore, you belong here.
